Jowy Landa has responded to critics who still refer to her as an “upcoming artist,” saying the label doesn’t bother her because she is focused on making money and building her career.

The singer, who has spent at least five years in Uganda’s music industry, admits that some people still downplay her progress. However, she insists that the comments have no effect on her confidence or success.
According to Jowy Landa, she is currently doing well financially and continues to earn significant income from her music and related ventures.
“I make money. I make millions of money every week. There’s nothing that can pull me down,” she said.
The artist believes that many people use the “upcoming” tag as a way of discouraging musicians or undermining their achievements. Despite that, she says she remains confident in her status as a star.
“I am not intimidated at all. Those who still say I’m upcoming are haters,” she added.
Jowy Landa further noted that she is not losing sleep over the label and is comfortable with whatever people choose to call her.
“By the way, let them continue calling me upcoming. I don’t have a problem with it. Everyone is free to call me what they want. I’m cool with anything,” she explained.
Despite the criticism, the singer says she is focused on her hustle and determined to keep shining in the music industry.
