Ugandan singer Jowy Landa has dismissed claims that she was ever best friends with fellow artist Ava Peace, despite ongoing rumors suggesting the two musicians had a fallout.

While appearing on Galaxy TV Uganda, Jowy Landa addressed the speculation surrounding her relationship with Ava Peace. The two artists previously collaborated on a song, something that led many fans to believe they shared a close friendship.
However, Jowy clarified that their relationship was never as deep as people assumed.
“I have no problem with her but we are family. Someone you did a song with,” she explained, downplaying the idea that they were ever inseparable.
Rumors of tension between the pair intensified after Ava Peace previously said that the two had simply gotten busy and no longer spend as much time together. Jowy, however, suggested the situation was being misunderstood.
During the interview, the hosts challenged her to prove there was no bad blood by calling Ava Peace live on air. At first, Jowy hesitated and questioned why she would need to make the call during a live broadcast. She eventually went ahead and placed the call, seemingly to show there was no conflict between them.
Jowy also clarified that while they are friends, they were never “besties.”
“We are just friends, not besties because besties are always together, but for us we aren’t,” she said.
The singer went on to reveal that the person she once considered her best friend in the music industry was Nandor Love. According to Jowy, their friendship changed over time as both became busy with their careers.
“These days my best friend is my mother,” she added.
