Singer Ykee Benda has urged fellow artist Buchaman to exercise patience as payments for performances at NRM campaign rallies continue to be processed.
Ykee Benda, who did not confirm whether he has received his own payment for performing at the rallies, emphasized that as a businessman, he understands that certain processes take time.
His remarks come after Mayinja revealed that artists had only received facilitation fees and that the full payments were expected in the first quarter of the year.
“If you have a contract, you should be relaxed because the law is already protecting you. We got some money but we are still demanding some, but I don’t want to make it look like the world is over. I was doing my service for my president because it’s him I support, so I got an opportunity to sing for him. Of course, it involved getting paid, but it gives respect that I’m on record that I sang for him,” Ykee Benda said.
