DJ Jacob Omutuuze has announced that he is done with elective politics for good, following what he describes as an unfair and manipulated outcome in the Bunamwaya LC3 Lord Councillor race.

Speaking during an interview on Spark TV, a visibly frustrated Omutuuze said he has completely lost faith in the electoral process, claiming his victory was deliberately taken away.
“I will never get engaged in elective politics ever again. The whole electoral process is stupid and useless,” Omutuuze said.
The DJ, who contested for the Bunamwaya LC3 seat, alleged that the process was influenced by powerful individuals working against him.
He claimed that events promoter Norbert called him and revealed that musician Eddy Kenzo had vowed to use all his resources to ensure Omutuuze’s defeat.
Omutuuze further accused Eddy Kenzo of playing a role in his loss, saying the singer had “a hand” in how events unfolded, although he did not provide evidence to back the claim.
According to the official results, Omutuuze’s rival, Namala, was declared the winner with over 10,000 votes, while Omutuuze managed about 2,000 votes. However, Omutuuze strongly disputes these figures, insisting they do not reflect the true will of the voters.
For now, Omutuuze says his focus will shift away from politics entirely, as he vows never to contest for any elective position again.
