Swangz Avenue musician Azawi real name Zawedde Priscillar has revealed reasons why she can never perform at NRM rallies during the campaigns.
She explained that the Ugandan music industry is full of politics which have destroyed it and left it without any opportunities to rise up again.
Azawi joined the music industry very humble but this changed when she started making deals and coming out as as independent musician.
At the moment she strives on the deals the record brings along and a few shows that she attends and performs at all the time.
According to Azawi some people are making money off the rallies and performing for different politicians during this period.
As herself, she said that she doesn’t see a reason for performing at the ruling party with the arrogance they carry themselves with.
She is happy staying in her lane and performing for a few fans and stay at peace with people that will always support her.
“I can never perform at any NRM rallies. Those people are not genuine and I can’t do anything for them let me stay with my few fans,”
