C-Care Uganda, one of the country’s largest private healthcare networks, hosted a Media Appreciation Breakfast at Onomo Hotel to celebrate and strengthen its relationship with key media stakeholders.
The event highlighted C-Care’s ongoing expansion, new medical specialities, and innovative healthcare delivery methods that continue to position the network as a leader in Uganda’s healthcare landscape.
Over the past year, C-Care has grown its footprint to 20 branches nationwide, offering the widest range of medical specialities under one network.
“We are expanding to serve even more communities with a new 50-bed hospital and ICU facility in Gulu, complemented by 24/7 theatres and emergency services in Mbale, Mukono, Nakawa, and all our key branches,” said Andrew Mugalu, General Manager of C-Care IMC.
This expansion reflects C-Care’s promise to deliver quality healthcare closer to home for Ugandans across the country.
The programme featured a panel discussion with surgeons from C-Care facilities, who shared insights on emerging trends in surgery and patient care.
Dr Miriam Musinga Mutero, General Manager of C-Care IHK, emphasized the organisation’s focus on nurturing specialist talent:
“C-Care is home to some of the best specialists in Uganda, from oncology, neurology, orthopaedics, cardiology, aesthetic surgeries and beyond. Our focus is not only on advanced technology but on nurturing specialist talent that ensures every patient receives world-class care right here in Uganda.”
In recognition of Movember (Men’s Health Awareness Month), C-Care launched a special offer on prostate cancer screening across all its facilities. The discounted screenings aim to encourage men to take proactive steps toward early detection and prevention.
Sheila Aboth, Head of Brand and Client Experience, highlighted the importance of strong media relationships:
“The media are essential allies in shaping Uganda’s healthcare story. Through collaboration and accuracy, we can inspire public confidence and ensure Ugandans understand the progress happening in their own healthcare system.”
