Singer Eddy Kenzo real name Edirisa Musuuza has threatened to resign from the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) as a President over government misunderstanding.
He said that after his rally performances he will put down the tools after all he has realised that somethings are not going to work out the way they had planned for them.
Eddy Kenzo started the federation in 2022 and ever since then he has been doing so well in it and leading to some successful achievements.
According to the singer, the government promised musicians 10 billions but only gave them 5 and now the ministry is still refusing to release the remaining money.
He said that if he doesn’t get the money for the musicians he will put down the tools and let the musicians who want to continue with it to go ahead.
“I think I am going to resign from my position as the president of the federation. The government isn’t releasing the money that was allocated to us and they are making us make even more rounds starting from scratch which I can’t do. Let me get done with Acholi rally performances I will be revealing what is next,” .
