I wish I had known comes later in life and, the young men that hatched a plan to frame Pastor Robert Kayanja must be wishing as thus.
The nine young men had been promised heaven on earth if they managed to tarnish Pastor Robert Kayanja of Rubaga Miracle Centre. The Mastermind behind it was Pastor Jackson Ssenyonga of Christian Life Church in Bwaise.
Ssenyonga initially promised each 30m but ended up paying them only three hundred thousand.
A plot was later hatched by Ssenyonga and one of his lawyers, Robert Ojiambo, where one of the suspects was to disappear so that the case would be dismissed. However, it fell flat, and as a result, one of the sureties landed in hot soup.
The young men must be silently regretting having fallen for Ssenyonga’s schemes.

Yesterday, August 28th, the Mwanga II Magistrate’s court remanded a surety who stood for one of the accused in the ongoing trial involving allegations of conspiring to falsely accuse Pastor Robert Kayanja of unnatural offences.
Moses Tumwine and his co-accused face charges of conspiracy to obstruct justice, conspiracy to commit a felony, criminal trespass, and giving false information. His co-accused are Regan Ssentongo, Peter Serugo, Israel Waiswa, Jamil Mwandha, Alex Wakamala, Aggrey Kinene, and Martins Kagolo. Moses Tumwine is currently at large.

The Grade One Magistrate Adams Byarugaba remanded Prossy Namugga, the mother of the accused person Emmanuel Moses Tumwine, after she failed to account for his whereabouts. Tumwine jumped bail a year ago, and his surety broke down in tears while explaining her situation.
“I was sick and admitted to the hospital. I do not know where he is, and his phones are off. It has been a year,” Namugga told the court.
The magistrate reminded her of her obligation, saying, “When you were standing for him, the court ordered you to pay Shs20 million. Can you organise to pay it, and I let you go?”
Crying, Namugga pleaded, “I do not have a job.”
The court will pronounce itself on the fate of Tumwine, who jumped bail, and her liability as a surety. She was remanded until 5th September 2025.
During the same session, Chief State Attorney Jonathan Muwaganya raised concern about a TikTok user known as Elizabeth Nampiima, an interpreter for one of Kampala’s city pastors. According to the state, Nampiima, who uses the TikTok account Olivia Kateme, had been recording, editing, and serialising court proceedings on her social media platforms.
“There is a lady who goes by the TikTok name Elizabeth Nampiima. She records voice proceedings, edits them, and serialises the publication on her account. We shall bring a formal application against her,” Mr. Muwaganya told the court.
The Magistrate strongly warned the TikToker, saying. “Olivia, desist and milk a living from somewhere else and not this case. Already, there is an order by this court which was enforced, stopping live coverage.”
It should be recalled that a phone matrix presented in court by D/ASP Bill Ndyamuhaki from the Cybercrime Department of the police revealed that Aggrey Kinene, a personal assistant to Pastor Jackson Ssenyonga of Christian Life Church, Bwaise, had frequently called the youth, especially Reagan Ssentongo.
This phone matrix was submitted in court under Oath, unlike the suspects who refused to testify under Oath like they had something to hide or feared being exposed by cross-examination.
Furthermore, it should be recalled that Dr. Sam Kalungi, to whom the suspects were taken on Pastor Ssenyonga’s orders for examination, testified in court that he found no signs that the youth had been sodomized, contradicting their claims.
