The Minister of State for Youth and Children Affairs, Hon. Balaam Barugahara, has issued a 12-hour ultimatum to Ssekajja Abdul Qadir, the new fiancée of singer Chosen Becky, to report to his office over allegations of defilement.
Speaking during an interview on Spark TV on Monday, Hon. Balaam revealed that Qadir is accused of impregnating a 16-year-old girl before abandoning her and later proposing to Chosen Becky earlier this month.
The minister stressed that such cases involving young girls are taken seriously and vowed to ensure justice is served.
“Mr. Qadir should appear in my office within 12 hours to respond to these allegations. We cannot allow cases of child exploitation to be ignored,” Hon. Balaam said.
The matter has attracted public attention as more details are expected to follow regarding the allegations.
