Singer David Lutalo isn’t happy with how promoters are speaking and interfering with the musician’s SACCO.
He said that they have numbers and can also find away of supporting themselves other than speaking bad about what musicians association and federation is working on.
Days ago promoter Abitex and the others stormed the ministry of gender seeking for billions of money that they claim they lost because of musicians.
Abitex personally went ahead and said that the president of musicians Eddy Kenzo has been banned by promoters.
According to Abitex it actually doesn’t make any sense because musicians have come so far to get where they are in terms of unity.
“Promoters should have their own SACCO where they can find ways to support themselves, just like musicians have theirs. To be honest artistes have come so far and I want them to acknowledge that by all means,” ,” says David Lutalo, weighing in on promoters and artist support.
It should be noted that it was said that musicians will be receiving some money this year but no one knows how much or when it will be dropped in the SACCO.
