Da Agent Distances Himself from GNL Zamba, Sparks Debate Over Hip Hop Leadership

By BigEyeUg Team

Rapper Da Agent has made it clear that he was never inspired by legendary rapper GNL Zamba. Speaking during an interview on Sanyuka TV, Da Agent stated, “I wasn’t inspired by GNL. His style leans more toward Hip Hop while I represent Luga flow.”

This bold statement has sparked debate among fans and within the Ugandan rap industry, especially as both artists continue to position themselves as leaders of the Hip-Hop scene.

The two rappers, known for their lyrical strength and command of Luganda in rap, seem to be drawing clear lines between their musical identities.

The tension comes as the rappers nearly clash with words, with each claiming to sit on the Hip-Hop throne in Uganda.

While GNL Zamba is often credited with popularizing Lugaflow in the early 2000s, Da Agent has consistently maintained that his style is unique and not built on anyone else’s legacy.

The ongoing verbal exchanges have stirred discussions on social media, with fans weighing in on who truly deserves the Hip-Hop crown.

Whether this will end as a lyrical rivalry or grow into a full-blown beef remains to be seen.

We will keep you posted
