Elijah Kitaka, one of Uganda’s most exciting new voices in music, made a powerful and stylish statement at the inaugural edition of “A One Night Only” concert, hosted by NEXT TICKET.

Held at the Lugogo UMA Grounds, the sold-out event cemented his place as a rising star whose ascent feels both inevitable and unstoppable.

The intimate yet high-energy night began at exactly 9:00 PM with a fiery opening set from the local duo Double Black, who successfully set the tone for what would unfold into an unforgettable live experience.

At 10:00 PM, Elijah Kitaka took to the stage amid roaring cheers, joining his live band for a two-hour non-stop performance that took fans on an emotional, sonic, and visual journey.

He performed crowd favorites including Ekyange, Dawa, and Good Idea, alongside several unreleased tracks—each wrapped in his genre-bending sound and unmistakable creative flair.

True to his fearless sense of fashion, Elijah appeared in an avant-garde, visually striking outfit, transforming the stage into a performance runway that showcased both his musical and stylistic artistry.

The night soared to another level when Kenya’s Mr. Tee made a surprise appearance, joining Elijah on stage to perform their collaborative hit Panda Kitanda. The cross-border performance lit up the venue and underscored Kitaka’s growing regional impact.

“Performing to a sold-out crowd, with people singing every lyric and feeling every note—it was a dream,” Elijah shared after the show. “And doing it live, with my band Double Black, in my own skin and style—that’s the real magic.”
