Ugandan dancehall star Beenie Gunter has revealed that he draws great inspiration from legendary Jamaican artist Vybz Kartel.
Speaking during a recent media appearance, Beenie Gunter credited the influence of Kartel’s music and career journey for shaping his own sound and direction.
“I have been motivated in my career by artists such as Vybz Kartel,” he said.
Known for hits like Pon Mi and No Letting Go, Beenie Gunter is one of the leading dancehall voices in Uganda.
His energetic performances and consistent music releases have earned him a loyal fanbase both locally and across borders.
Beenie Gunter’s acknowledgment of Vybz Kartel adds him to the list of African artists influenced by the international dancehall scene.
