Tanzanian music star Diamond Platnumz expressed admiration and surprise upon arriving in Ntungamo on Saturday morning for the groundbreaking Coffee Marathon and Concert.
The Bongo Flava superstar touched down at the Africa Coffee Park—the concert’s main venue—by helicopter, and was immediately struck by the scale and quality of the event’s organization.
“When I came in I was amazed by the level of organization. Everything is on point. I saw the stage while landing, the entire venue set up is a pleasant surprise. I did not expect it,” Diamond Platnumz shared.
He further praised Uganda’s efforts, noting that the event is a shining example for the entire East African region.
“This should make not just Uganda but the whole of East Africa proud. This tells the region how serious you are as a country.”
The much-anticipated concert will feature performances by top regional artists, including Uganda’s Eddy Kenzo and Bebe Cool, Rwanda’s The Ben, and rising stars Ray and Truth 256.
