A former Jinja Road Division Police Commander identified as Julius Ahimbisibwe has been found dead in what authorities suspect to be a case of suicide after reportedly falling out bitterly with his wife which left him broke and sandled in depression.
His body was discovered in the morning in a septic tank at his residence in Nakitokolo, Kyengera town council, where the alleged domestic violence incident involving his wife had previously taken place.
Ahimbisibwe had been at the center of a high-profile investigation after reportedly shooting and injuring his wife during a heated altercation in 2023.
The deceased’s wife, alerted the station at around 2:00 AM about the body found in the septic tank. “Police officers responded to the scene and retrieved the body.
This has happened just few months after another police man from Rukiga District also shot himself and died.
The major problem hasn’t been revealed but they say they don’t have the same issues . They go through so many things like any other normal ordinary person.
