Ugandan singer Eddy Kenzo has spoken out about his recent altercation with a Special Forces Command (SFC) officer during a campaign event for the Kawempe North by-elections.

A video circulating on social media shows Kenzo pushing away an SFC officer who attempted to stop his performance.

The incident happened while Kenzo was campaigning for the National Resistance Movement (NRM) flag-bearer, Ms. Faridah Nambi, in the presence of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

Speaking to journalists, Kenzo defended his actions, saying he does not engage in fights anymore but was forced to react.

“For me, I don’t fight anymore. I stopped that 10 years ago. He was the first to attack me on stage as I was performing. I don’t regret doing what I did to him,” Kenzo stated.

The incident has sparked debate among fans and the public, with some supporting Kenzo’s response, while others question the need for confrontation.

Authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the matter.
