National Unity Platform (NUP) mobiliser and the older brother of the party president Chairman Nyanzi has finally been found today after spending hours in incommunicado.
According to reports, the National Unity Platform party has confirmed that Fred Ssentamu aka Chairman Nyanzi, has been transferred to Wandegeya Police Station.
NUP Secretary General issued an update on X, revealing that Ssentamu was secretly detained by operatives from the Joint Anti-Terrorism Taskforce (JATT) and the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) having picked him up after they gave Gen Museveni 48hrs to release Besigye.
It is very common in Uganda for politicians to disappear at some point and then later appear in court with charges that the public doesn’t even know about.
Some claim they are tortured upon kidnapping and they are told not to say anything to the public or else it will happen again and this time it will even be worse.
The first son Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has warned NUP multiple times and threatened to torture them once he gets his hands on any of them in a mistake.
