Following choas that broke out earlier today in parliament, Speaker of parliament Hon Anita Among has suspended members for three consecutive sittings from parliament with immediate effect.
“I am also evoking Rule 88(2) to order the above MPs to withdraw immediately from the House and according order the Seargent at Arms that they vacate the Chambers and therefore suspend the House for 15minutes,” said Anita Among
The suspended legislators include; Anthony Akol (Kilak North) who rained heavy punches on Zaake as he threw him out of the seat, Wakayima Musoke (Nansana Municipality), Alyosius Mukasa (Rubaga South), Charles Tebandeke (Bbaale County), and Francis Zaake (Mityana Municiplaity) who is currently hospitalized.
The others suspended are Isiah Sasaga (Budadiri East), Asinasi Nyakato (Hoima City), Derrick Nyeko (Makindye East), Frank Kabuye (Kasanda South), Evans Kanyike (Bukoto East), Shamim Malende (Kampala City) and Suzan Mugabi the Women District Representative of Buvuma District.
It should be noted that Hon Zaake is currently bedridden and not so much is known about the injuries he has suffered.
