Recently, musician King Saha has voiced harsh criticism of the government and its agencies.
Since then, he has said that he is qualified to serve as the Bank of Uganda’s next governor, and that he plans to assume the role shortly as it becomes vacant.
He announced his candidacy for governor on Monday night during a live TikTok session.
“This position of governor of the Bank of Uganda has been vacant for so long, and I am declaring myself the governor right now. I will be signing all your money starting today,” he said.
It should be mentioned that Parliament must approve the President’s appointment of the governor of the Bank of Uganda.
