Mbabazi appointed as new Mbarara City coach


Mbarara City’s preparations for the 2024/25 season have begun with the recruitment of Livingstone Mbabazi as head coach.

The gaffer who signed a two-year contract with the Ankole Lions replaces Wasswa Bbosa who has been at the helm of the club until the end of last season.

“We are delighted to announce the appointment of Charles Livingstone Mbabazi as our new Head coach on a two-year contract,” read a statement on the club media pages.

It will be a second stint for the tactician at the club.

He has previously handled Arua Hill, Onduparaka, URA, Kyetume, Wakiso Giants and Vipers among others.

Mbarara City finished last season 10th in the UPL with 32 points.
