Ugandan Socialites and Social media influencers such as Lucy Bunyenyezi, Nadia Matovu, Mama Deb who is also one of the cast of Kampala creme a reality TV show in Uganda threw a Bridgeton themed party this week.
Bridgeton is an American historical romance television series set during the early 1800’s in an alternate London Regency era, the viewer is taken to observe the highly competitve social season; where young marriageable nobility and gentry are introduced into society.
This series has trended on only in Uganda but across the globe.
However, no one thought that Ugandan Socialites would throw such a luxurious part and dress is expensive and elegant gowns.
This party was specifically hosted by Lucy Bunyonyozi who calls her self Lucy Smize on all her social media accounts.

“I hosted Kampala’s first @bridgerton themed soirée. Guests enjoyed a sumptuous three-course meal with Tanqueray cocktails, entertainment from a talented cellist, and scenes from the series. It was a night of elegance and delight for all.”
In this economy, for someone to host such a party only shows you that we are not different.
These women are very detached from Uganda’s reality because they have so much to waste in throwing luxurious parties.
A case in point is Mama Deb who is married to a very rich American. She currently owns two Mercedes Benz cars both costing above 250 million Ugandan shillings.
Nadia Matovu is the daughter of tycoon Charles Mbire. She is married to Yasser Matovu who is also a son to a tycoon in Uganda.
Lucy Bunyenyezi is the daughter to tycoon Ezra Bunyenyezi who recently passed on.
This shows that these ladies have alot of money and can use it as and when they please.
