Carol Nantongo Opens Up On Who She Hates In Music Industry

Carol Nantongo, a Ugandan female music artist and teacher expressed her disappointment in the never ending conflicts in the music industry.

She believes that these disputes hinder artists’ growth and ruin collaboration which ultimately affects the entire music industry in Uganda.

Such conflicts stem way back from the early 2000s in the war between two great musicians Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu a.k.a Bobi Wine and Moses Ssali a.k.a. Bebe cool. These two never seemed to reconcile their indifference.

Recently, there are many musicians that fight each other for example Alien Skin and the Mayanja Brothers among others.

Nantongo firmly believes that the beefs and conflicts within the music industry do not benefit artists in any way. Instead, they act as a setback, diverting attention from their craft and delaying their overall progress.

She says that these disputes create unnecessary distractions and hinder the collaboration that is crucial for the industry’s advancement.

According to her, the constant wrangling and fights within the music industry have a detrimental effect on artists’ growth. Instead of focusing on growing their skills and exploring new creative avenues, they become embroiled in personal conflicts that drain their energy and creativity.

On a brighter side however, these conflicts have given Uganda one of the most celebrated concerts beautiful Sheebah Karungi a.k.a Queen Sheebah and Cindy Sanyu a.k.a the King herself. Atleast we should say that this benefitted the consumers in the music industry.

Regarded her music career, Carol Nantongo has a dream to sign some fresh talents under a record label once she got her bag together.

She currently has a few artists she works with and also urged her fans and followers to support them, too.

In all this, Nantongo advocates for unity and a more supportive environment within the industry.
