FIFA

South Korean outfit are the third AFC side to secure qualification to the inaugural 32-team tournament in the USA.

Ulsan HD FC have become the latest team to book their place at the inaugural Mundial de Clubes FIFA™ (FIFA Club World Cup 2025™).

Ulsan’s AFC Champions League semi-final first leg victory over Yokohama F.Marinos means that they are now assured of a place at the tournament via the ranking pathway at least, having moved above South Korean rivals Jeonbuk Motors in the qualification standings.

The new 32-team competition, which will take place in the United States during June and July 2025, features clubs from each of the six confederations, competing for the title of world champions.

With four spots open at the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 for Asian teams, the winners of the AFC Champions League over the past two seasons – Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia and Japan’s Urawa Red Diamonds – have already secured their places.
