  • Julian Nagelsmann will remain as Germany coach until after FIFA World Cup 26
  • His original deal was set to expire following this year’s UEFA EURO
  • He has won three of his six games in charge of the national side

Julian Nagelsmann has signed a contract extension that will keep him as Germany head coach until after FIFA World Cup 26™, the DFB announced on Friday.

The 36-year-old, who has previously been in charge of RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich, was originally appointed in September 2023 on a deal to take charge until after this year’s home UEFA EURO.

Following that tournament, his attentions will turn to taking Germany to a 21st global finals when UEFA qualifying begins in March 2025. The Mannschaft have won four titles, one behind record champions Brazil, with their most recent coming at Brazil 2014.
