En-Nesyri surges in Sevilla’s record books


Morocco striker Youssef En-Nesyri has become the fifth highest scorer in the history of Spanish side Sevilla following his heroics on Sunday night. 

The 26-year-old etched his name into the club’s history books after scoring during their 2-0 win over Las Palmas in the LaLiga clash.

En-Nesyri’s relentless prowess on the pitch helped him to open the scoring as they secured the crucial away victory.

The goal in the top-flight match propelled him to the esteemed position of the club’s fifth highest goal-scorer with 68 goals.

This pivotal moment marks yet another milestone in En-Nesyri’s illustrious career as his meteoric rise in the football world has been nothing short of extraordinary. 

From his early days at the Mohammed VI Academy to his current tenure with Sevilla, the 26-year-old striker has consistently dazzled fans with his remarkable goal-scoring prowess for both club and country.

The Morocco international has showcased his attacking prowess this season, netting an impressive tally of 15 goals and providing one assist in 34 matches.

Currently under contract with Sevilla until June 2025, En-Nesyri was a key player for Morocco when they reached the semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup.

Former African Footballer of the Year award winner Frédéric Kanoute of Mali is Sevilla’s highest scorer with 136 goals.
