After being admitted to Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi for over three months, Muhammad Ssegirinya, the Member of Parliament for Kawempe North, is reportedly conscious again.
Robert Kyagulanyi, the president of NUP, just came out of the hospital and reported that the lawmaker’s condition has significantly improved since his admission on December 23, 2023. The legislator is now able to move, eat, talk, and identify guests.
“I passed by Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi to check on Comrade Ssegirinya Muhammad, where he is undergoing treatment.
I was pleased to find that his health has greatly improved and he is rapidly responding to medication. He is no longer in intensive care, he walks around by himself, and his appetite is better than it was a few weeks ago. Let’s continue praying for and supporting him. By the grace of God, he will get well soon,” Kyagulanyi posted on social media.
Ssegirinya, however, still faces difficulties with several organs and needs prayers for a full recovery. He made this revelation in court at the International Crimes Division of the High Court, where Ssegirinya, Aloysius Allan Ssewanyana, his counterpart from Makindye West, and four other defendants are being tried on terrorism-related allegations.
