URA FC starts new life without David Obua as NEC visits

UPL

URA host NEC seeking to return to winning ways at their new home ground in Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium, Wakiso and also start life without David Obua.

The four-time league winners parted ways with Obua following a string of poor results and handed Robert Mukasa the role as interim.

The former goalkeeper is confident of executing the task ahead of him and encouraged discipline, belief and hard work.

“It’s a pleasure being named in the role and I will do all it takes to ensure the team gets results,” he said.

“For me, the three principles to follow is discipline, hard work and belief in God.”

URA lie 9th on the table with 31 points while visitors NEC, who also won the reverse fixture at Lugogo are 5th with 40 points and could climb to second place with a win.

At Bombo, UPDF and Gaddafi lock horns in a relegation six pointer.

The two sides are aware that defeat could damage their survival chances and so either is targeting none but all points.

The army side are second from bottom with 16 points, only two behind Gaddafi who are 15th on the table.

Gaddafi won the first round clash 2-1 in Jinja but have never won at Bombo in the last two visits
