Winnie Nwagi, a musician from Swangz Avenue, has kept her distance from politics.

The singer clarified that she decided to ignore politics and concentrate on music because she had no interest in politics.

“I don’t know anything about that. Actually, I don’t know politics; I chose music because it’s what makes me happy,” she responded to a journalist’s question when asked to share her opinion on the Non-Aligned Movement Summit which concluded over the weekend.

According to Winnie Nwagi, musicians should be in charge of music and politicians should handle politics.

The singer also declared that politics is not her calling and that she will never enter it.
