Omega 256 asks Bobi Wine asks Bobi Wine for forgiveness

Western Uganda singer Omega 256 has come out to apologize to Bobi Wine over the remarks she made about him sometime ago. During the funeral of the late Kato Lubwama Bobi Wine talked about the newly created Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF).

He cautioned musicians under it about being turned into beggars by the government. This saw many attack him claiming he called them beggars. Among these was Omega 256.

Last week Bobi Wine once again spoke about the federation saying they are going to be given thirty billion shillings and this is corruption. The federation’s president Eddy Kenzo denied this and referred to Bobi Wine as ignorant.

Well Omega has said that she’s truly sorry for her remarks about Bobi Wine back then. This is because she doesn’t know where this money is coming from since they only discussed about the copyright law and not money.

“Honestly I really love Bobi Wine and I have grown up listening to him. My earlier remarks were defending the federation because I believed in it. However, I’m confused about the 18 billion shillings I’m hearing. This is because when we were discussing the copyright law, we didn’t talk about money. It’s this that makes us look like beggars and maybe Bobi Wine was right. And we just misinterpreted him. So I’m really sorry to him,” she said.
