Lyca Mobile has issued a statement following a network outrage amidst rumors of the company closing business in Uganda.

Lyca Mobile says they are here to stay and grow stronger after temporarily going out of service on Monday 3rd December.

The telecommunication company says the network outrage is as a result of an ongoing network expansion project which is aimed at ensuring improvement of services in the country.

” The outrage was for a short duration and the inconvenience caused to our customers is deeply regretted. Your trust is paramount,” reads part of the statement.

” We also reassure you that Lyca Mobile is here to stay and grow. We remain committed to providing best value and high quality services to the people of Uganda.”

It should be noted Lyca Mobile hit the Ugandan market about three years ago and has since been known for providing big volumes of internet bundles compared to Airtel and MTN.
