It seems like President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and his son Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba will have to brace themselves for what is coming ahead. This is after a new unexpected person has shown concrete interest in the big seat.
And shockingly enough, they want to do it within the NRM. A one Queen Dorothy Amolo announced her intentions to run for the presidency come 2026.
Amolo who has businesses in the UK lost the 2021 parliamentary election of Oyam South constituency to Gender minister Hon Betty Amongi.
Even recently, she lost the NRM primaries to for the Oyam District by-elections to replace the late Charles Engola.
According to Dorothy, she’s now learnt better and is prepared to take on the big mantle since she’s been able to learn a lot.
She revealed that she won’t be running away from the NRM because it’s the one in power and fixing the country needs to be done within it.
