These protesters Kayole took the demonstrations to the next level to imply that President William Ruto’s regime was dead.
They carried a mock coffin draped in a yellow piece of cloth, a cross and masked their faces as they chanted: “Uuuwii Ruto, Uuuwi Ruto” as they marched along Manyanja Road.
“Baba alisema maandamano iko town wanafanya nini apa.Tunaenda town tupate Kama Ruto na gachagua washabeba virago zao ,” another protester said.
“Today is the day for truth and justice,” Raila Odinga says as the Azimio protests escalate in Nairobi CBD.
“It is of utmost importance that we rein in the runaway high cost of living for the benefit of ordinary citizens of our nation. This issue motivates us and keeps us going,” Odinga added.
