FULL STATEMENT: Buganda distances itself from twins Nabagereka sired with Kabaka

Buganda kingdom has distanced itself from knowing the twins that the queen of Buganda Nabagereka Slyvia Najjinda talked about.

Nabagereka wrote a book about her life and the book was recently released for people to read.

But it shocked most Baganda when Nabagereka revealed that she had welcomed twins 10 years ago who are girls although none of the ordinary people knew about it.

She even talked about how Kabaka Mwenda proposed to her through email before their marriage.

Now baganda have been wondering why they would keep Kanaka’s children a secret yet they know very well that people are supposed to know.

Through a statement shared, Buganda has said Kabaka doesn’t have any twins. The last King to give birth to twins was Daudi Chwa in 1925.

They said these twins were not welcomed officially in the Kingdom and they don’t have a title of princess.

“The last Kabaka to give birth to twins while on the throne was Sekabaka Daudi Chwa who gave birth to Princes; Kalemera Wasswa and Kiggala Kato in 1925.”
